XPOSED JOINS LUMINOSITY OWNERSHIP WITH INVESTMENT
Luminosity Gaming today announces that prominent Canadian streamer and content creator Cody “Xposed” Burnett has made a seven-figure investment in the organization and will join its ownership group.
The investment represents a significant commitment to Luminosity’s next phase of growth and further strengthens an existing relationship between Burnett and the organization. In addition to becoming an owner, Xposed will serve as a brand ambassador and collaborate with Luminosity on content, activations and other initiatives across gaming and esports.
Burnett has already played an instrumental role behind the scenes at Luminosity, providing significant support toward the organization’s return to competitive Counter-Strike and the ongoing operations of its professional team.
His involvement helped provide Luminosity with the resources to invest in its competitive infrastructure as the organization works to re-establish itself among the leading names in Counter-Strike.
“I’ve been a fan of Luminosity and what the brand represents for a long time, so having the opportunity to become an owner in something I’m passionate about was an easy decision,” said Cody “Xposed” Burnett. “I started my streaming career in gaming with Call of Duty and I’ve had the chance to be involved closely with Luminosity and see firsthand what Steve and the organization are building. I wanted to make a meaningful investment and be part of that growth rather than simply support it from the sidelines. With Steve and team at the helm, I’m bullish on the future of the organization.”
Burnett began his career creating gaming content, initially building his audience through Call of Duty before expanding into livestreaming and entertainment content. Over the course of his career, Xposed has built an audience of hundreds of thousands of followers across platforms including Twitch, Kick, YouTube and social media, becoming particularly well known for his high-energy livestreams and highly engaged online community.
For Luminosity founder Steve Maida, Burnett’s addition to the ownership group represents more than a traditional investment.

The investment comes as Luminosity continues to expand its presence in competitive esports while investing in content, creators and new opportunities surrounding the brand.

They have competed across many of the world’s largest gaming titles, amassing over 80 championships, including winning the 2016 MLG Colombus $1,000,000 CS:GO Major, leading them to the #1 ranked team in the World.
With Burnett joining its ownership group, Luminosity plans to continue investing in competitive performance while expanding the organization’s reach through creator-led content, entertainment and community initiatives.
